This Privacy Policy explains how the Turf Booking Platform (“we”, “us”, the “Service”), operated by Turf Booking, collects, uses, and protects information when you interact with a turf (sports field) booking bot over WhatsApp, or when a turf business (“Business”) uses our tools to manage its bookings.

The Service lets sports turf businesses take and manage bookings entirely through a WhatsApp conversation. Each Business connects its own WhatsApp Business number to the Service; when you message that number to book a field, you are interacting with that Business through our platform.

Information we collect

• From customers booking a turf: your WhatsApp phone number; your name, if you provide one; your language preference; and the details of any booking you make (field, sport, date, time, duration, and price).
• Payment-related information: if you pay a deposit via bKash, we collect the bKash transaction reference number you provide so the Business can match your payment to your booking. We do not collect or store your bKash PIN, password, or full account details — payment itself happens directly between you and the Business outside of WhatsApp.
• From Business staff and owners: the WhatsApp phone number and name of anyone a Business registers as an admin, used to authorize them to manage that Business’s bookings through the bot.
• Conversation content: the messages and menu selections you send to the bot while booking or managing a reservation, for as long as needed to complete that conversation.

How we use this information

• To create, confirm, reschedule, and cancel bookings.
• To match a submitted bKash transaction reference to the correct booking so a Business can verify payment.
• To send booking-related messages — confirmations, payment reminders, and status updates — over WhatsApp.
• To prevent double-booking of the same field and time slot.
• To respond in your preferred language (English or Bangla).
• To operate, maintain, and improve the Service, including diagnosing and fixing errors.

How information is shared

• With the Business you’re booking with: your booking details and phone number are necessarily visible to the specific turf Business you’re booking with, so they can prepare for and confirm your reservation.
• With WhatsApp / Meta Platforms, Inc.: messages are sent and received through Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform, which processes message content to deliver it. Meta’s own privacy policy governs how they handle that data; see WhatsApp’s Privacy Policy.
• We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
• We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Service, a Business, or our users.

Data retention

We retain booking and customer records for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Service — including for the Business’s own scheduling history, accounting, and dispute resolution — and as required to comply with applicable legal and tax obligations. You can request deletion of your information at any time (see “Your rights” below), subject to records we’re legally required to keep.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect the information we hold, including encrypting Business WhatsApp access tokens at rest and restricting internal system access to authorized components only. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the details below. We’ll respond within a reasonable time, subject to any records we’re required to retain by law.

Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, with the “Last updated” date above revised accordingly.
